Olympic Weightlifting?

Olympic weightlifting is the common term used when referring to Weightlifting. This is a combination of fitness and strength through active coaching, your skills are sharpened and molded to reach your maximum strength.

What is Olympic Weightlifting?

Olympic Weightlifting consists of two main lifts: The Clean and Jerk and The Snatch. In the clean and jerk, the weightlifter lifts the barbell from the floor to the shoulders (the clean movement) and then from the shoulder to overhead (the jerk). In the snatch, the weightlifter lifts the barbell from the floor to overhead in one movement. When competing, each weightlifter has three chances to snatch and three chances to clean and jerk. The weightlifter is judged on the max weight lifted and added to create the weightlifter’s total.
